grateful and tired
it’s been a few days since my first day of chemo and i am feeling much better today. grateful my side effects aren’t cray cray so far, but just a little more tired than my “normaL” self.

i mean, i didn’t become a giggler randomly. i obviously follow paige and hannah because of this show. but why is this episode so special? one of the newest cast members, jesse solomon discloses personal information that he is a two-time cancer survivor. it’s just crazy to see cancer more and more in mainstream and social media. props to jesse for showing the public how to let people in to your past, but to also show that strangers would never know of his medical history unless he said something, so let’s be thoughtful before we make any judgments on human interactions, reactions, and more.

whenever i have a problem with my face – which i do a lot (lol), i always get targeted inside a rabbit hole of products that i should purchase – when i always forget to look in my cabinet and grab aquaphor. besides acne, aquaphor is a great spot treatment for dry patches and a great undereye moisturizing solution for overnight use.

i am obsessed with back graphic sweatshirts right now, and i can’t get enough of them. i was instagram-targeted for this tequila brand’s merch and glad i fell for it. this hoodie has great colors printed on cream, high quality, thick material.

medical update
my first day of chemo was on tuesday and was better than expected. took a while for all the test reviews, sign offs, and prep work in the morning, but once i sat in that chair and treatment was flowing, i did not experience any symptoms until wednesday.

the treatment was super involved – i had to infuse treatment through an iv for 90 minutes, keep my eyes on ice for those same 90 minutes, and i opted in for cold capping, which freezes your scalp 1 hour before, during, and 2 hours after treatment.

when i got home after treatment, i took a big nap because i was still thawing out, but then ate a salad and went to bed.

next day, i got a 100.8 fever and called the nurse who informed me to ride it out and if it gets worse, to call for next steps. it never got worse, but lingered through Thursday, and on friday, i woke up like a normal human with soreness in the cancer areas – which i think means the medicine is working *crossing fingers*
